FERNA CHEESE TARTS

CRUST

Ingredients Quantity
All purpose flour 350 grams
FERNA IODIZED SALT ½ tsp.
Butter 160 grams
FERNA VANILLA POWDER 1/2 tsp.
Cold water 4-6 tbsps.
FERNA EGG YELLOW POWDER COLOR 1/16 tsp.

PROCEDURE
1. Grease and flour round tart molders. Set aside.
2. Sift the flour, FERNA IODIZED SALT and FERNA VANILLA POWDER. Cut in the butter until the mixture forms pea size crumbs. Dissolve FERNA EGG YELLOW POWDER COLOR in cold water, add to flour mixture and mix until dough is formed.
3. Flatten dough into about 1/8 inch thick and line tart molders.
4. Prick and bake blind in a preheated oven at 3500F for 10 minutes.


FILLING

Ingredients Quantity
Egg yolks 10 pcs.
Butter, melted 1/2 cup
Evaporated milk 1/2 cup + 2 tbsps.
Refined sugar 1 1/2 cups
FERNA PRIMERA CHEESE FLAVOR 1/2tsp.
Bread crumbs 1 cup
FERNA IODIZED SALT 1/2 tsp.

PROCEDURE
1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
2. Fill each tart crust with filling to about 3/4 full.
3. Arrange on baking sheets and bake at 3500F for 30 minutes or until done.

Yield: 30 pcs.
