FERNA GINATAANG BILO-BILO
Rootcrops Episode

Ingredients Quantity
Glutinous rice flour 150 grams
Water (for glutinous rice flour) 140 grams
FERNA VIOLET UBE POWDER COLOR As desired
FERNA APPLE GREEN POWDER COLOR As desired
FERNA ORANGE POWDER COLOR As desired
White sugar 200 grams
FERNA IODIZED SALT 1/4 tsp.
Gata 400 grams or 1 can
Camote (sweet potato, cubes) 250 grams
Gabi (taro, cubes) 250 grams
Saba (banana, sliced) 3 pieces
* Slurry* 2 tbsps.


PROCEDURE
1. How to make "bilo-bilo"?
A. Combine glutinous rice flour and water. Knead until formed soft dough. Divide the dough into three. First dough, add small amount of FERNA VIOLET UBE POWDER COLOR. Second dough, add small amount of FERNA APPLE GREEN POWDER COLOR. Third dough, add small amount of FERNA ORANGE POWDER COLOR. Knead the dough one at a time until uniform in color. Get a small amount of dough and form into ball shape and set aside.
2. In a casserole, place water, gata, camote, saba and gabi. Boil until half
cooked then add sugar. Bring to boil. Add the bilo-bilo.
3. Add *slurry* (optional) to thicken. *Slurry* (2 tsps. Of All purpose flour +
3 tbsps. Of water)
4. Serve hot.
