FERNA FLAVORED LAMINGTONS

CAKE

Ingredients Quantity
FERNA BUTTINA BUTTER SUBSTITUTE 1 ¼ cups
Granulated sugar 2 ½ cups
Eggs, medium 4 pcs.
Fresh milk 1/2 cup
All purpose flour 4 ¼ cups
FERNA BAKING POWDER 2 tsps.
FERNA IODIZED SALT 1/2 tsp.
Potassium sorbate 1/8-3/4 tsp.


PROCEDURE
1. Beat FERNA BUTTINA BUTTER SUBSTITUTE and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition until light and fluffy.
2. Dissolve potassium sorbate in milk and add to the creamed mixture. Mix well.
3. Sift flour, FERNA BAKING POWDER and FERNA IODIZED SALT together, and add to egg mixture.
4. Spoon dough into a greased 10x12-inch baking tin.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 3500F for 50-60 minutes. Cut into squares and leave to cool.

SYRUP

Ingredients Quantity
Granulated sugar 1 ¼ cups
All purpose flour ? cup
FERNA PRIMERA CHOCOLATE FLAVOCOL 2 tsps.
Water 3/4 cup
FERNA BUTTINA BUTTER SUBSTITUTE 1 tsp.
Potassium sorbate 1 pinch-1/4 tsp. (approx)
Dessicated coconut 1 cup

FERNA PRIMERA STRAWBERRY FLAVOCOL
FERNA PRIMERA BUKO PANDAN FLAVOCOL
FERNA PRIMERA UBE FLAVOCOL

PROCEDURE
1. Mix sugar, flour, FERNA PRIMERA CHOCOLATE, potassium sorbate and water and bring to boil while stirring constantly. Add FERNA BUTTINA BUTTER SUBSTITUTE. Mix well.
2. While still warm, dip the cake squares in syrup, but do not soak.
3. Roll cake squares in a thick layer of coconut spread on a large sheet of greaseproof paper.
4. Place on a wire rack to set.
